Musikwela is an Early Childhood Edu-Entertainment program where learning meets music, imagination, and fun! Through songs, adventures, and friends, we help Musikscouts discover the world while celebrating Filipino culture, languages, and values.
Musikwela began in 2014, when our Founder and Creative Director, Ellen Estrada, noticed her daughter’s classmates were no longer saying Po at Opo. This inspired the Po at Opo song and Ang Bagong Alpabetong Filipino, which reached 3.4 million and 4.7 million views respectively!
Since then, Musikwela has grown into a teaching aid for parents and educators. And after more than 9 years, one thing remains the same: we believe music makes learning more fun!
But our adventures don’t stop there! In 2023, Musikwela brought Ang Bayani at Ang Kanyang Sandok, a documentary about Filipino food scientist and World War II hero Maria Orosa, to DokyuBata. The film received Best Documentary and Most Child-Friendly Documentary!
Through Maria Orosa’s story, we were able to introduce young audiences to an inspiring Filipino who used her knowledge, creativity, and courage to help others. It was another exciting way for Musikwela to show that learning can take us beyond the classroom and into the incredible stories of our own history!
Today, Musikwela continues to grow into a colorful world of learning, creativity, music, and adventure. Meet our characters, discover fun facts, show off your fanart, become a Musikscout, and join us on our next adventure!
MASAYANG MATUTO SA MUSIKWELA!
